Project Objective & Mission

Purpose & Strategic Focus

To organize waste-picker women into sustainable Self-Help Groups (SHGs), foster micro-savings discipline, and provide vocational stitching and embroidery machine training.

Community Challenge Addressed

Extreme economic vulnerability, lack of formal credit, and complete dependence on informal waste-picking among women.

Mobilization and institutional formation of women SHGs with DUDA Ghaziabad
Setting up community tailoring and sewing machine training centres
Instruction in garment fabrication, stitching, and machine maintenance
Financial literacy, bank account linkages, and group savings management

Tangible Grassroots Outcomes

Graduation of trainees into home-based tailoring micro-enterprises and group savings for emergency household needs.
